The UN Millennium Development Goals and Beyond








KULU - Women and Development has worked on the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) agenda from their inception, including the financing for development process, the Millennium Development Declaration and the Millennium Development Goals from a gender equality and women’s/girls’ rights perspective, and always in close cooperation with Southern partners and international women’s rights networks. This work includes advocacy and information activities in Denmark and internationally, and it continues with the post-2015 development agenda and the post-Rio+20 follow-up on Sustainable Development Goals.

For an example KULU is a contributor to this statement of the challenges for the post 2015 development agenda, submitted to the United Nations 58. th Session of the Commision on the Status of Women.
 
KULU-Women and Development has participated in a number of UN Millennium Development Goal conferences and consultations, such as the 2010 MDG review session during the 2010 UN General Assembly. February 18, 2013 KULU participated in the UN Dialogue on Addressing Inequalities on the Post-2015 Development Agenda in Copenhagen, hosted by the Danish government.
